Graduated from The Cooper Union, New York City (B.S. in Physics) in 1970 and Hofstra Law School, Hempstead, NY in 1976.


Admitted to the New York State Bar in 1977 and the New York Federal Courts (Southern and Eastern Districts) in that same year.


Present or Former Member of the Orange County Bar Association, the State Magistrates Association; New York State Bar Associaton; Westchester Bar Association; Defense Research Institute; Defense Association of New York (Board Member and Member of  Internet Committee, former editor, "The Defendant";), New York County Lawyers; and American Bar Association.



Trial Attorney and Managing Trial Attorney and Attorney of Record in New York City and Westchester, New York through 1999 with major insurance carrier.

Since 2000, solo law practice in Cornwall, New York, handling civil and criminal matters.

Has appeared in court on cases in State Supreme Court in every county from Suffolk, through the City, and along the Hudson as far north as Saratoga, and in Southern and Eastern District Federal Courts.  Hundreds of trials in those courts, and appeal submissions and arguments in the Appellate Divisions of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Departments.



Service as an arbitrator for the New York City Civil Courts, the courts in the Ninth Judicial District, and the American Arbitration Association; Provider of pro bono legal advice to various local organizations; Realtor seminars in various Real Estate offices.


While with the insurer: Authored the Litigation Guide for the State of New YorkConducted educational seminars in various branch and regional claims offices.



Sitting Town Justice for the Town of Cornwall and Village of Cornwall on Hudson, hearing all non-felony criminal matters, vehicle and traffic, local law enforcement and civil matters including evictions.

Previous twenty five (25) plus years as Supreme Court and NYC Civil Court appointed arbitrator hearing overflow cases referred from local courts.  American Arbitration Association appointed arbitrator.
