Judge Lynn A. Beesecker - Experience to Keep

-Judge Beesecker was preferred by Cornwall voters last election

Judge Beesecker since the last election has:

 Been exemplary as a Judge, extending his commitment to community service to the bench by treating all parties with respect while making the hard decisions, including guilt or innocence and alternative or traditional sentence in criminal cases, and resolution of civil litigation by judicial decision where a voluntary settlement was not possible;

Worked cooperatively with his fellow Judge and town administrations to insure calendars are handled efficiently and support costs are contained;

Handled all cases efficiently to provide swift and sure justice, answering the call from the police at 3:00 am or whenever a judge is needed, and scheduling prompt hearings and trials to move cases along;

Supported Cornwall Chamber of Commerce by membership, sponsorships and working (not just attending) chamber events like the Main Street Fall Festival and Labor Day car show to support local police;

Served as a board member and president of the Lions Club,and continued to work at Lion’s events to raise funds for sight & hearing, like the Fall Harvest road race, holiday wreath sales, Ed Clark golf outing, and at community support events like the Halloween Art Contest and roadway cleanup;

Resumed serving on the board of trustees (after a period of service in the 1990’s) of his church, taking over as chair of the trustees;

Continued on the Little League Board as an active member involved in the administration of the league, from fall & winter planning & sign ups to spring opening day through summer all-star time, and continued to umpire during the regular and all-star seasons;

Remained a member of the Cornwall Historical Society, where his wife became a member of the board, taking part in events and meetings in support of the organization;

Supported the American Legion Post by attending and contributing at their various functions;

 Supported July 4th parade by way of sponsorship as opposed to past additional involvement in parade day administration, as he is in the parade as an elected official and is selling Lions Club lobsters earlier in the day;

Provided continued pro bono free legal counsel to various senior citizens and local non-profit groups, including a local Cemetery Association and a committee dealing with Mountainville Wells issues, in addition to providing quality legal service to the local community at his Main Street Cornwall law office.

Judge Beesecker’s consistent record:

Committed to serving Cornwall.

On the bench and off.

Election year or not.
